📝 This week’s musing…
Before my second son Henry was born, I remember asking my husband how I could ever love another kid as much as I loved my oldest. The fear was real, a deep-rooted worry that my heart wouldn't be big enough to love another kid equally. It was something I struggled with the entire pregnancy.
But guess what? Sweet little baby Henry arrived and I instantly loved him just as much as his big brother.
I'm sure many of you can relate to this feeling, but I never quite understood until I had both of them. You can love your kids exactly the same amount but so differently at the same time.
I have so much pride in my oldest son. I love his sweet and caring nature, endless curiosity, and deep desire to do everything by the rules. I adore my rambunctious second child, who runs full speed at life, has never met a stranger, and has a constant smile.
If you asked me to pick a favorite or who I loved more, I couldn't.
They're incredible little humans that I'm constantly in awe of. I can't believe they're the perfect combination of my husband and me, with generations before them sprinkled in the mix.
If you’re about to welcome another baby into the world, and wondering if you’ll be able to love them as much as your other kid(s), trust me, you will.
Like The Grinch, my heart grew in size the day Henry arrived. I never knew I could love two little boys exactly the same and so differently at the same time.

✨ Friday favorites…
🌶️ I’ve been testing the Paprika app after one of my favorite mom influencers (Emily Oster) mentioned it and I’m pretty impressed. It stores your favorite recipes from all over the web, and the app will compile a grocery list for you based on which ones you select to cook that week.
🎞️ Melinda French Gates launched a new YouTube series called “Moments That Make Us” where she sits down for conversations with some of my favorite women, from Michelle Obama to Reese Witherspoon - it’s packed full of females who inspire.
🎙️This podcast episode about managing back to school with less stress had some really good advice as we wrap up summer. You can also get her PDF guide here.

Always keep a bag in the car with sunscreen, bug spray, and hand sanitizer. I learned this last week after finding ourselves at the park with none of the above.
