I cherish my toddler, but I’ll admit, I sometimes feel guilty for longing for the day she’s older so I can reclaim some “me” time. I never realized how much I took time for granted until she arrived, haha! Everyone suggests doing something for myself, but when she naps, I just sit there, doing nothing at all. Of course, like you mentioned, I adore being a mom and seeing the love in her eyes. But, oh boy! I recently set up my Substack, yet I haven’t found a moment to actually write. One day, I will. For now, baby steps for the win!!

I think it's such a struggle for us moms to feel like we want be 100% present for our kids all the time, but also have outside hobbies, interests, jobs, friends, etc. Congrats on setting up your Substack! All it takes is on step at a time :) rooting for you!

Love that picture at the top! That's what it feels like to try something new :) You look like you're in your happy place!

Thank you!! I’m a big believer in never being too old to try something new, and also doing things for pure joy, not to become an expert :) thanks for reading today!

I loved this so much. Moms often feel so guilty for spending time away from our families, but we shouldn’t! We need it to return refreshed and revitalized. I got away with some college friends last night and just talked about life while sipping drinks outside. <3

It’s so true! Being refreshed and reenergized is the best for our family! Proud of you for going out and doing something fun!
